DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:
Day 1. Depart the USA for Fiji
Cross the international dateline and arrive on Day 3
Day 3. Arrive in Fiji. (3-nights)
You will be transported from the airport to your accommodations on the main island of Fiji – Viti Levu. This island offers terrific beach, a lot of adventures and the nicest people ‘in the world’.
Day 4. Captain Cook Tivua Day Cruise
Cruise aboard the elegant “Lady Geraldine” to exclusive Tivua Island. Enjoy a leisurely morning tea as you cruise in great comfort and arrive at the sand-fringed island surrounded by 500 acres of spectacular coral reef. Relax in the natural atmosphere of Tivua Island as you are welcomed by a traditional Kava ceremony, or just indulge yourself in the many non-motorised activities including guided snorkeling, glass bottom boat, volleyball, spy boards, canoes, etc. For your ultimate romantic escape, stroll along secluded beaches and bask in the warm tropical waters of the Pacific. Also includes a chicken BBQ lunch with a wide selection of salads and greens, and an open bar of beer, wine and soft drinks. (B, L)
Day 5. Day at Leisure
Today enjoy a full day at leisure. You may like to do some additional sightseeing, shopping, or simply relax. You can choose to add some optional sightseeing excursions to your itinerary today ($) and enjoy the day at the beach. (B)
Day 06. Fly to Christchurch, New Zealand. (1-night)
Today you will be transported to the airport and fly to Christchurch – New Zealand’s most English looking city. (B)
Day 07: Christchurch to Queenstown via Mt. Cook (3-nights)
We leave Christchurch this morning and travel through diverse farmland to Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd and take in the sights of the spectacular Southern Alps mountain range. We then continue to the location of New Zealand’s tallest mountain Aoraki / Mount Cook. top for lunch (own expense) in Aoraki / Mt Cook Village, set within a National Park. Take advantage of your time here to enjoy the majestic scenery. There is time to experience an optional scenic helicopter or ski plane flight (additional cost, weather permitting). his afternoon our tour continues south through the tawny tussock of the Mackenzie Country. En route enjoy afternoon tea (own expense) in the quaint village of Omarama and a visit to the Jones Family Orchard (time permitting) near Cromwell. Our tour concludes this evening in world famous Queenstown. (B, L)
Day 8. Free day in Queenstown
Queenstown is the adrenaline capitol of the world. You can try everything from Bungy Jumping, Bi-planing to Jetboating in this scenic city set on beautiful Lake Wakatipu.
Day 9. Milford Sound Tour
You’ll have an early start as you leave your hotel and coach through some of the most beautiful countryside in New Zealand. On arrival at Milford Sound, board the vessel for a leisurely cruise along the sound to the Tasman Sea. The vessel stops at various points and plenty of time is available to view waterfalls, rainforests, mountains and seals. You may even see dolphins frolic alongside the boat. A buffet lunch is included during the cruise. Arrive back at the wharf around 1.45pm and re-board the coach for the return ride to Queenstown – arriving around 7pm. Optional 30 min. a scenic flight option back to Queenstown instead (extra cost). (B, L)
Day 10. Queenstown to Sydney (3-nights)
The morning you will be transferred from to the airport to take your flight to Sydney, Australia’s most famous city. The harbor front is one of the recognizable in the world with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. (B)
Day 11. Sydney city tour with Sydney Harbour lunch Cruise
Tour Sydney’s icons taking in magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Enjoy a Sydney Harbour Luncheon Cruise and relax on board as you view the exclusive waterfront area. Tour through the historic buildings of the Rocks area, Australia’s British birthplace, See the famous Opera House (Tour of inside is additional $20) and the Conservatory of Music, View Hyde Park and Notre Dame inspired St Mary’s Cathedral, See Parliament House, the Art Gallery and the parklands of the Domain, See Sydney Town Hall, Sydney Tower and the exciting Darling Harbour along with views from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. Day 12. Sydney at Leisure
Enjoy this walk able city with the historic Rocks district and Sydney’s amazing waterfront.
Optional sightseeing ($): Blue Mountains with Featherdale Wildlife Park, Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, Harbour dinner cruise, Hunter Valley winery tours, Taronga Zoo and others.. (B)
Day 13. Sydney to Cairns (3-nights)
You will be transported to the airport and fly to Cairns – the gateway to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. You can choose to stay in one of three areas – Cairns, Port Douglas or Palm Cove. Spend 3 nights here.
Day 14. Great Barrier Reef Snorkel Cruise with Lunch
Cruise on a high-speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a reef presentation by a marine naturalist to learn more about the wonders of the reef and view the spectacular coral and tropical fish from a semi-submersible craft and glass bottom boat. You’ll be able to snorkel this magical reef to your heart content with snorkel equipment provided. For Scuba Divers there is option to purchase a few dives prior to your arrival (B, L)
Day 15. Cairns free day
Take time to explore the city center on your own or choose an options excursion.
Optional Tours ($): Kuranda Village with Skyrail Gondola & Scenic Train, Crocodile Adventure Park or Daintree/Cape Tribulation Rainforest. (B)
Day 16. Cairns to home
Say farewell to your Class South Pacific tour. You can choose to extend your times, perhaps add a day to visit the famous Ayers Rock or elsewhere. You will be transferred back to the airport for your flight home. (B)
