Day 1& 2: Depart Los Angeles or San Francisco for Australia

Day 3: Arrive Melbourne
On arrival at Melbourne Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director and traveling companions. FT. Hotel: Crowne Plaza, 3 nights.

Day 4: Melbourne City Sight Tour
Discover Melbourne’s eclectic little laneways, arcades and café society on your Local Speciality private walking tour. (B)

Day 5: Melbourne ‘Free Time’
Enjoy a day at leisure in cosmopolitan Melbourne. You may like to join an optional tour to the Yarra Valley or tour along the famous Great Ocean Road. (B)

Day 6: Melbourne – Alice Springs
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Alice Springs. On arrival visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service, where you’ll hear from a Local Expert how this marvellous facility operates to provide a ‘mantle of safety’ to the people of the outback. Next stop is the School of the Air followed by the Telegraph Station. This evening join us on a discovery tour at the Earth Sanctuary World Nature Centre. Day 7: Alice Springs to Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel through rugged outback scenery to Ayers Rock Resort, your Authentic Accommodation. This evening enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine while watching the spectacular sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock).. Hotel: Desert Gardens Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights. (B)

Day 8: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)
View sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock). Tour the caves at its base, hear stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and gain a Unique Insight into local Aboriginal culture. Travel through the desert plains to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge and later experience a Kata Tjuta sunset with complimentary wine and nibbles. (B)

Day 9: Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Cairns
Join a local Aboriginal artist for a fun introduction to Western Desert Art, a Local Speciality. Your Anangu artist will provide you with an introduction to their culture. You’ll be assisted to complete your own painting, which you can take home as a memento of your experience. You’ll then be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairns. Day 10: Great Barrier Reef
Cruise on a high-speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef. View the coral and fish from a semi-submersible craft and snorkel along the reef. Enjoy a reef education presentation on this living wonder and a delicious buffet lunch. (B L)

Day 11: Cairns ‘Free Time’
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Cairns. (B)

Day 12: Cairns – Sydney
Spend time at the Cairns Wildlife Dome where you’ll encounter unique Australian animals. You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney. On arrival in Sydney you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Take a stroll to the Opera House and watch the world go by as you relax in a cafe along the concourse. Hotel: Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Sydney. (B)

Day 13: City Sights – Cruise
See stunning views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline on a sightseeing tour, before you join a tour of the Opera House with a Local Expert. Re-board your coach and see the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair and Kings Cross. You’ll travel to Bondi Beach, where you can dip your toes in the cool clear water. Return to the city for a cruise on the glistening harbour. You’ll then have the opportunity to learn about Australia’s national gemstone – the opal. (B L)

Day 14: Sydney ‘Free Time’
Enjoy a full free day in exciting Sydney. Spend your last evening in Sydney together along with your Travel Director at a Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant by the water. (B)

Day 15: Sydney – Auckland
You will be transferred to the airport to board your morning flight to Auckland, New Zealand. This evening meet your Travel Director for dinner at the top of the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, Auckland’s Skytower at Orbit, a revolving restaurant with 360 degree views of the city. Day 16: Auckland sightseeing + Free time
A morning cruise on Waitemata Harbour is followed by a sightseeing tour. Time at leisure this afternoon to explore Auckland further. (B)

Day 17: Waitomo Caves – Rotorua
Travel into the Waikato region to the incredible Waitomo Glow Worm Grotto for a boat tour with a Local Expert. Then continue to Rotorua where you’ll visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve and be accompanied by a Local Expert. Day 18: Rotorua – Christchurch

Day 19: TranzAlpine – Franz Josef

Day 20: Franz Josef – Queenstown
Drive over the Haast Pass, past Thunder Creek Falls, Lakes Wanaka, Hawea and Dunstan. Enjoy the tastes of delicious stone fruit at Cromwell, the stone fruit capital, a Local Speciality. Day 21: Milford Sound
Super highlight day! Discover the stunning scenery of Fiordland. We drive through the Homer Tunnel and stop briefly at the Chasm en route to Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on the waters of this natural wonder, with Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls high above you. (B L)

Day 22: Queenstown included choice
Today choose one from a range of Included Choice sightseeing experiences. Ride the Thunder Jet on Lake Wakatipu, join a wine tour, play a round of golf or take a gondola to the Skyline Restaurant for dinner. Day 23: Queenstown to Christchurch
